Our aim and intention for this competition idea at the start was to help to take our scene to the next level, in an exciting and fun & encouraging way and we think we are on the right pathโจ๐ฅณ๐๐บ๐
Although there were a smaller than anticipated number of competitors taking up the challenge in this year, that does not take away from their achievement๐๐ , and we believe that this competition idea can add something special to our scene and help it to keep growing to the next level. ๐ฅณ
What is different about the Cloud9 Zouk Championship:
โฃ๏ธThis is a Strictly competition where you dance with a partner that you enjoy dancing and feel connected with. It creates the space & opportunity, or extra motivation/inspiration, to practice and improve with your respective partner or partners over time.
โฃ๏ธYou will be a united little team with your partner on the day, whether you've trained in the leadup or just danced earlier in the weekend and felt a connection, and feel supported by your audience of dance friends, who are encouraging and cheering on all the competitors.
โฃ๏ธAll Finalists will receive a few words of personalised feedback on their performance from our panel of judges, and get to see their ranking. this will be privately distributed and is a little bonus for our dancers to receive these invaluable comments, thanks to the extra time & effort, care and attention of our judges.

Our extra special gratitude and acknowledgement of Kylie Roots (our Head Judge & Competitions Manager) - her experience and organisation was invaluable, especially with this being our first time trying to add this concept. We appreciate her guidance as well as flexibility and ideas to make things flow smoothly. ๐๐น
