Hellooo to all of our wonderful Zouk lovers and dance friends! 🙂🤗

We just wanted to send out a quick gratitude message to everyone who took part in our Cloud9Zouk Weekender - End of Year Celebrations, to see out this challenging year, as well as to mark the weekend of what would have been Brisbane Zouk Festival. ✨✨💃🕺💖

Firstly, our gratitude to all of the dancers in our community who came along and supported the weekend, as without your support of course it would just not be possible to run these events. 💖 We were so grateful that many of our Brisbane dancers turned out and brought their lovely energy and happy selves, which made the weekend and our party nights so enjoyable.🙏🤗😍

A special thank you too to those awesome dancers who came from further away - with a special shout out to our North Qld and Adelaide guests - we love having you and appreciate the extra effort, time and budget you commit into being here in Brissie with us all! <3

& on that note, of course we have been sorely missing our other cities' dancers at our events 🙁 , but received many warm messages for the weekend 🙏💖and know that next year will be all the more amazing when we can finally have EVERYONE back together again. 💗

We are so fortunate to have a supportive community here in Brisbane, as well as around Australia & NZ 💗, and especially would like to express our appreciation for our local artists who commit and show up with their best efforts for our events, to consistently bring their professionalism and their friendly, generous and wonderful selves. 🙏💖🙏

Each of these teachers bring their own unique style, experience and knowledge, and we'd like to acknowledge the dancers who took advantage of the opportunity to learn from them in their workshops.✨

Let's not take these opportunities for granted! ✨

We have such a great Zouk scene here in Australia, and that is as a direct result of the commitment and hard work of our artists and teachers encouraging & guiding our existing dancers and newcomers. <3

Of course, a huge thank you to our interstate teachers for coming the distance and not letting the tiredness of travel affect their wonderful energy and enthusiasm.

Our dancers loved their workshops, and was just awesome having ALL of the artists there on the dance floor with everyone each night. <3

We'd like to make a special mention of Juliana & Rafael and Wesley & Rachel in their careful planning and execution of the 3-Hour Immersion Courses we asked them to present. 🤗 It was something different we wanted to try, and was just wonderful to see dancers taking up the opportunity, and to see it going so well on the day - we received so much positive feedback about how the courses were run and the materials learned. ✨🙏😍

And of course... Each day was capped off by our Parties and was exhilarating to feel the happy vibe during the nights, and also to see so many dancers still there to the very end 👏 Our DJ's played some wonderful sets, taking the crowd through the night on that journey of fun & playful through to blissful & dreamy, for that variety that we all love Zouk for. <3 We are truly fortunate to have this wonderful group of DJ's who are so committed to planning out and bringing their best music to make our nights so enjoyable.✨ Thank you DJ's! 🤗🌟🙏 - Ajella Zouk, DJ Grevo, DJ Panda, DJ Bruno, DJ Pasindu, DJ Rafael, DJ Wesley, DJ Sandro, DJ Behrouz. <3

And finally (but certainly not least!) is the icing on our cake✨ , which is our Volunteers team, the Performers and our Photographer, @Bob McGahan, and Videographer, @Roman Balitskiy.

@Lexi, @Mayara, @Rosa, @Nasim, @Eliete, @Camille, @Kyle, @ Arpy - without your friendly selves greeting our attendees, and your contributions in helping with everything throughout, as well as the set up & packing up, we just wouldn't be able to run the event! 🌟🙏

Also, to our Performers, we so appreciate every one of you coming to entertain the crowd and to add that extra special segment of the night to make people smile and enjoy your performances. Well done to all! 👏

A quick shout out to @Matthew Grevett for jumping in to MC and rev the crowd up 🤩🌟and also an extra acknowledgement to the instructors and for the choreographers and trainers, we know the hard work and commitment that is involved in running your training sessions and encouraging your teams. They all did such a wonderful job. ✨🌟

We'd love to give a little thanks to to our own performance team as well for their dedication in training, and for their wonderful teamwork. 🤗 We loved working with you and are just so happy with the end result on the night. 👏💖🤗

To our Photographer and Videographer - of course we can never discount the value of having these special moments captured so that we can enjoy them right after the event, and then look back on them in the future as well with fond memories.

Following a relaxed and lovely picnic & bbq to cap it all off, we finished off the weekend feeling very content. (Thank you @Quinton for your bbq skills but more so your time & effort given 🤗).

And weekends like this just bring to us a continuous reminder of how grateful we are for our wonderful community of dancers, artists, and just every one of you who is a part of it all <3, whether it was this time around or at our other events, small & large. We appreciate you all so much! 🙂🙂
