We are super happy and excited about being able to run partnered dance classes and events, and to have you joining us for some dancing! However, we need to make sure we do so in a safe way. As such we will have our Covid Safe Plan in place, under the government's approved Dance and Physical Performance Arts (DPPA) plan.
Please take the time to read through and take note of the below guidelines, and to register in advance if you are planning to attend any of our classes or events:
Please arrive early to your registration process, which will include signing in on arrival as well as a quick contactless temperature check.
Please wash your hands before or upon arrival at our venue, and make sure to hand sanitise both before and after class or workshops, and periodically as needed.
Please be prepared with your own water bottle and hand towel (both ladies & gents), as well as a spare T-shirt to change into if perspiring.
Remember to be mindful to avoid touching your face, especially during classes. You are welcome to use the hand sanitiser as frequently as you need.
If you are about to cough or sneeze, please excuse yourself from the group by a few metres and use a tissue or your towel, rather than your arms or your clothing; then use hand sanitiser.
Most importantly - If you are feeling unwell in any way, including fever, sore throat, coughing or sneezing, please stay home. We are happy to arrange a video of the class summary or the workshop demo to be sent to you, if requested. Our main priority is to minimise the risk of spreading any illness to our fellow peers and dancers.
A non-contact infrared thermometer will be used to temperature test prior to entry. Also face masks and gloves will be available for cost price purchase if desired. (Note: this does not override our requirement to stay at home if feeling unwell, however).
Commonly touched surfaces will be disinfected between classes and workshops.
If you have recently travelled internationally, or from South Australia or any other ‘hot spots’ please follow the Government’s recommendations and self isolate for 14 days prior to attending any classes or events. The list of declared Covid-19 hotspots can be accessed at - https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/current-status/hotspots-covid-19
If you have potentially been exposed, please let us know immediately and keep us updated.
We reserve the right to ask you to go home if we have any concerns about you being unwell, or if your temperature is in the 'elevated range', which is 37.5C or higher.
Note that classes and workshops will be run as partner dancing, with social distancing between practice, so periodic contact and some partner rotation will take place. You are also welcome to attend the class as a ‘solo learner’ option, or as a ‘wi-fi lead/follow’, or to remain with just your ‘designated partner’, rather than doing partner rotation.
Thank you for working together to care for each other and keep everyone safe and happy! 😊
