Zouk Heat Showcase Choreo Challenge Competition 🤩💃🕺💫🏆

Here is another new & super fun idea that we are trying out and believe is going to encourage and elevate our dance scene in Brisbane big time  🤩

So, as you know we are preparing for our Cloud9 Mid Year Ball & Championship end of June and here is a great way to warm things up and prep for the big weekend :) 

In this challenge, you & your selected dance partner are being presented with a song and we would like you to choreograph 1min to 1:30min of this song & present it at our Party on Sun 12th May.

This is a very simple comp with simple rules!  All you need is to ask a friend or someone that you know to partner you up and be available to perform it on Sun 12th May Party. 

This Competition is OPEN to everyone with an Awesome prize 🤩🏆😍💃🕺🥳

A private lesson worth $300 with one of our international artists from Cloud9 Mid Year Ball, Otávio & Sara or Pedro & Cibele, you choose ;)

Open Category: It is open to everyone, Amateur & Professional dancers.

We are aiming for:

You get to perform your piece on Sun 12th May at our Cloud9 Zouk Sunday party

Here is the song that we have provided you to choreograph 1 to 1.30min of it.

💃🕺Couples: 

There will be 1 couple on the dance floor at each time to perform their piece.

📃 Scoring:

There will be 100 points system utilised for this comp and here are the judging criteria and weighting per element: 

SHOWCASE ELEMENTS

1. Technique - 40 points

2. Musicality / Expression / Teamwork - 20 points

3. Difficulty - 20 points 

4. Originality / Artistry (Story) - 10 points 

5. Appearance / Costume - 10 points 

Lift & Tricks are risky bonus point +\-

📃 Rules:

💫 Respect between competitors must be maintained throughout the event. 

💫 Everyone can compete as a Leader or as a Follower, regardless of gender, but may only compete once in their Comp division/category.

💫 Competitors in the Novice or Amateur/Professional categories will present their Showcase on Saturday 13th April.

💫 Lifts ARE allowed in 'Zouk Heat Showcase competitions. 

💫  Costumes and matching outfits ARE encouraged. ✨️

💫 The participants who achieve the highest scores on the night will win the competition.

💫 Minimum number of competitors are required for this to go ahead.

💰Registration Fee:

$5 Registration fee (per individual) plus the Party entry on the night.
